NIS Colloquium “Towards Carbon Neutrality”

On June 19th, a workshop titled "Towards Carbon Neutrality - New frontiers in carbon dioxide capture and valorization" took place in Torino, focusing on carbon dioxide (CO2) capture and reuse. Organized by researchers from the University of Turin's Department of Chemistry and supported by the NIS (Nanostructured Interfaces and Surfaces) Interdepartmental Center, the event represents a relevant dissemination action in the context of DAM4CO2.

On June 19th, a workshop titled “Towards Carbon Neutrality – New frontiers in carbon dioxide capture and valorization” took place in Torino, focusing on carbon dioxide (CO2) capture and reuse. Organized by researchers from the University of Turin’s Department of Chemistry and supported by the NIS (Nanostructured Interfaces and Surfaces) Interdepartmental Center, the event represents a relevant dissemination action in the context of DAM4CO2.

The workshop gathered 130 participants from academia and industry, including PhD students, and featured 16 international speakers who addressed CO2 management and valorization issues. The workshop  covered the perspective of fundamental science and  gave an overview  of technological approaches and the European regulatory framework. It was also an opportunity for researchers from diverse backgrounds to exchange impressions and perspectives, offering a unique chance to develop ideas and synergies to address the challenges posed by CCS and CCU.
