The portfolio kicks off with a meeting in Brussels in November 2023

More than 30 representatives of the 8 projects belonging to the projects part of the portfolio presented their activities and discussed about how to create scientific, technological or business development synergies to accelerate their technology innovation path.

More than 30 representatives of the 8 projects belonging to the projects part of the portfolio presented their activities and discussed about how to create scientific, technological or business development synergies to accelerate their technology innovation path.

To guarantee the diversification of CO2 and N recovery and valorization technologies, sources of recovery and scale / size levels, the portfolio composition aimed at including a broad range of technologies. The retained proposals constitute a portfolio that covers several different options for the final use, the secondary added value, and approaches for materials/components selection/optimization.

The proposals were classified in five technological areas, selected to capture the main conversion technologies of CO2 and N-compounds, which are:

  • Area A: Photoelectrochemical, photochemical, chemical
  • Area B: Thermal
  • Area C: Electrochemical
  • Area D: Biological
  • Area E: Hybrid (at least two equally important technologies)
